I'm not a nurse, but as a hairstylist I stand for 8+ hours a day in my Danskos. My OBGYN and chiropractor (concidentally stopped having to go once I started wearing my Danskos) both gave them the highest accolades. My feet never hurt, not even the tops. Von Maur might cost about $25 more than Aldo's for the same pair. There's also a Chesser shoe store on n. Coldwater rd. that carries Danskos.

If your looking to find one fit for your specific running style I recommend going to the Running company in Fort Wayne. It's off of Parnell I believe by Chipotle. I went there an they test your running stride and fit you with a shoe that will help keep you from injury. Was having trouble with my knees on long runs. After going there they told me I was using the wrong shoe and helped fix the problem.

I was pregnant with Aldan when I purchased mine and since I wasn't in a hurry and wouldn't use it until my cycle returned, I actually ended up finding mine at babysteals.com for half off. But, would definitely recommend a menstrual cup. :)

For yourself? Or children shoes? I know you may think this is a bit pricey, but I bought a pair at Fred Tongues (not sure of the spelling) cost was $110, but has been great support shoe - that I wear daily. Otherwise I do consider searching at TJ Maxx, Marshalls also.
