LOST:
SCHOOL SEAL in FORD LOUNGE.
I want to know where the Seal is now & am starting a search.
Has anyone tried...
Bruce J. replied:
If you only knew how hard we have tried to find it. It appears that in the days before the liquidation auction, some of the lawyers helped themselves to the trophies, the great seal, the museum pieces (including the L. Frank Baum autographed first printing of The Wizard of Oz. Augie and I tried to find the auction records, names of the firms, bidders names, settlement lawyer names, etc. with no luck. Our campus and history were given away at less than 20% of their value, part of the reason being that Peekskill wanted the land for a new High School, and they essentially got it for nothing... Plus, they got rid of 56 acres of non-profit that at least they could use for themselves. The tracks have been well covered. Nothing exists officially on paper. I had a thought of putting a bounty on it, assuring anonymity but offering a reward for info that leads to the eventual recovery of it. I'm sure it still exists. It was to beautiful to just melt for scrap value.

Sonny Werblin took the plaque after he foreclosed. He's gone now. Check with his surviving son, Bobby Werblin, an x cadet. Google: Where is Bobby Werblin?
Janet G. replied:
I very much agree with you Michael! I personally think you need a secure web site say Ning.com especially if you are going to build a data base!
Robert P. replied:
I called Bob Werblin today and left a msg. Waiting for his returned call. How much you guess the plaque weighted?
