IF Dr Smith was buried at Felton Cemetery the only listing that i see on www.findagrave.com that fits the time period is record #53518557 of Allen DeLonia Smith who died 3 Oct 1871 . There is no information on his occupation though. The contributor was C T Lewis.

Issur of January 31, 1872 DR. ALLEN DE LONIA SMITH Died near Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia, on the 5 th January 1872, Dr. A. D. Smith, aged 35 years and 8 months. He was elected Mayor of Montezuma in 1871, and re-elected in 1872. He left four children

Bessie and May were daughters of John Wesley Vinson (1845-1885) and Willie Ham Vinson (1861-1944). May (1879-1969) is my grandmother. Bessie was born and died in 1882. A third child John Clifford (1884-1958) is buried in Florida.

Don't remember hearing about that.....but on that same note, I think I remember a Dr. Smith at the old hospital. According to my mother he (or anothr physian in Mtz.) sang to his bride in the churh at their wedding.
