Plumber recommendations? I have some drain issues in the basement, I think there is a clog that I cant clear. Anyone have any recommendations?

Don't use MSP plumbing and heating.

We’ve used [Marvel Sewer and Drain](http://marvelseweranddrain.com/) twice now. Once for a drain clean and once for a patch job on the main drain. Highly recommended and the owner is a redditor too!

I used Norblom to unblock a vent and replace a drain pipe in my house. They came out the same day I called and were very professional. They weren't cheap though. $185/hour for labor. Not sure what's typical.

For a severe clog, you might be better off calling a drain service instead of a plumber. Some of them have cheaper service call prices than plumbers. I really really like [McDonough's](http://unclogdrains.com/) and have used them on a couple different houses (for sewer scopes as well as for clearing a pretty serious clog that RotoRooter couldn't even reach).

Get a hose with a high pressure spray nozzle. Stick it in the drain a ways then wrap the hose in wet towels and plug the drain. Have someone turn on the hose and then hold the towels in place. If it's just a clog you should have it clear in moments.
