Sept/Oct is the BEST time to go......low crowds....we did September two years in a row. If you have a boy and they love Star Wars then you can't miss Star Tours at Disney Hollywood Studios. They can train to be Jedi Fighters and fight Darth Vader on the big stage. At Epcot you can't miss Test Track
Linda G. replied:
Don't focus too much on which hotel - if money might be a concern - even the least expensive hotel in the park gives you transportation and decent rooms. November - week of Thanksgiving is also a good time, oddly enough. Low crowds, good rates. If you have American Express you might look at what they will offer - possibly other credit card companies as well - they will provide extras and freebies. Fall is a great time.

I'm a FL resident with family in Monticello. I can tell you from many ventures there - that being in one of the hotels on the rail path is grand - and the attendance at the parks drops of after January 1 if your trip time is flexible. We love it 'after the holiday rush' because there's no waiting in lines and restaurants. The Contemporary is my favorite. Great character breakfasts. Universal Studios has become my favorite park though....more adventurous. Just my opinion.

Do you belong to AAA? We booked through them and got the meal plan and 'park hopper' option and paid a lot less and got more perks than if we had shopped around ourselves. We stayed at The Wilderness Lodge. This was 5 years ago, left the Sunday after Thanksgiving - it was great time to go.

Call Forney Shell with Globe Travel.

We used Phil at Mouse Counselors. He was amazing. Made all our dining reservations and fast passes. He will do as much or as little as you want. He also watched for specials and will get you a reduced rate if they go on sale.

My advice is to go with a travel agent who books directly for Disney. I have a good friend who does this for FREE. Skye Durrer 953-8353 or skye@mickeytravels.com. She is AWESOME and can be your one stop contact who is available via email or text before and during your visit. She know it all. If you book and a discount is offered later by Disney she will catch it and apply it to your trip. She can book everything resort, dining, airline, extras. Give her a call.

I used https://touringplans.com . They have crowd calendars so you can see when crowds are the lowest and lots of travel tips. I booked through https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/.

Disney World has made numerous changes even over the past 6 months so you definitely need to deal with a Disney Specialist. World no way can you even see half in a week. However, Land is very doable in a week. Land is much much smaller. Also keep in mind the window to make Dinning Reservations in World can be made 180 days out & Land is only 60 days out

We have used Gina Meckfessel Crump for several of our WDW trips. Love her! She's great in helping you decide which park etc...
