Just to clarify. The HIPPA guidelines are not a problem when the correct paperwork is in place or the person is present to give a verbal OK. Problems set in when the paperwork is not in place and the person is unable to communicate their wishes. That is when the Healthcare professional is limited to what information they may discuss.
