Looking to hit up Teton NP and Yellowstone NP this summer and planning ahead to reserve camp grounds for long weekends. Can anyone recommend a campground/campsite? Can...

Teton has lots of options. We stayed at Colter Bay, very close to a beautiful lake. https://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/camping.htm

Byron Kinnaman not so you may not have to make reservations in yellowstone but you can. Go to rec.com

Recgov.com

Whoops should be Recreation.gov
Byron K. replied:
I know about Recreation.gov. They're part of https://www.reserveamerica.com/. I don't see where that would be of any help unless you wanted to reserve at one the private campgrounds.
Ellen B. replied:
At Grand Teton, quoting from the web site: “ The campgrounds operate on a first-come, first-served basis, advance reservations are not accepted. Reservations are accepted for group camping, the Colter Bay RV Park, and the Headwaters Campground & RV Sites at Flagg Ranch.” We reserved in advance at Colter Bat RV Park, because we wanted full hookups and to avoid the stress of possibly scrambling to find a site. Safe travels, & have a wonderful time.
Ellen B. replied:
Might not be what you are looking for, but we found this private park satisfactory & in a good location for exploring Yellowstone. https://www.rockymountainrvpark.com/
We are starting to look for winter camp hosting positions. Can anyone recommend a place in San Diego...Palm Springs...or Phoenix area...not locked into those specific...

I have a opening at Fisheating Creek in Florida. Former Workampers have told me the money is good with the gate guard, but little time given for spouses to be together. Private message me if interested in Florida....Happy Travels
Linda L. replied:
Gate Guarding is good money but its 24 hours and out in the middle of nowhere most of the time. Know someone who has done it. One works days the other nights. Can't go shopping or anything together. Generator provided the power and a water tank provided water. I think they came and pumped them out. It's not for us so we do the Amazon thing each winter.
Mary S. replied:
Kat Go on Coolworks.com and look at what Amazon is. It is short term with good pay but there are long hours and lots of standing not for old people like me!! LOL

Mornin' Susan, average winter temps for sedona area are probably 60-68 during daytime and mid 30 s to 40 ish at night. Tombstone, believe it or not, would probably be about the same. Compared to Phoenix, which would probably average 65-75 datime and 40-48 nighttime I think. The other place that seems to have turned into a haven for rvers is quartzite az. I see a lot of ads for workampers there, though I've never stayed there.
