Guy Yeaman. He is great with German Shephards. Trained mine (Barney), and my neighbors (Sasha). His number is 1-775-265-4530. He knows what he is doing. Let him know Barney's mom referred you :-)

I wouldn't have your dog start professional training before eight weeks. After that, it's alright to start very basic commands - sit, stay, shake. After 12 weeks I would recommend getting into the Dog and/or K-9 training you would like on a four day a week scheduled commitment. At six months is when everything starts. I am a fully Certified former K-9 handler from The United States K-9 Academy. Narcotics/Explosives, Search & Rescue, and Service Assistant K-9 for the Autistic, Seizure, and more. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

We had Amy Jo come out to help us with our rescue pup. Her 2 dogs are not just trained, one is trained and licensed to go into senior care facilities as a support dog.

Greg Gibbs@Petco (Topsy Lane) is the best.

I also recommend Guy Yeaman, here is his website ~ http://dogmanguy.com/

I should add that I have a 60 lb Golden Retriever. Greg Gibbs (@Petco) helped me learn to work with her so I don't need a choke collar, etc. I am also able to walk her down the street without her dragging me. I was never able to do that with our first Golden Retriever (trained by a different trainer). I suggest you ask the trainers what tools (collars, treats, etc) they use to train the dogs and pick the one that feels right to you. I didn't know Greg before I did his training, but I would definitely recommend him after what I know now.
Felicia Patterson! She helped us pick out a breed and trained our dog since he was a puppy. Everyone loves him and says how well behaved he is. He goes to "pack day" most every week and loves it!
