Recommended gun stores Any gun stores the people of reddit recommend in the Dallas area?
Not looking for anything special just a standard EDC, probably a glock....

Hard to beat grabAgun when it comes to price, but no real inventory to fondle.

Riflegear has plenty to fondle, but more expensive than anywhere else I've been to. I don't remember, but I don't think they negotiate that much. 1800 gunsandammo offers the best prices on guns locally from my experience with a decent onsite inventory to fondle. KentuckyWindage is a small shop, but has a handguns to look at and also offers duracoating services. DFWShootingSports has the most handgun models and is the most friendly from my experience. Also the most Glock models, because they're also a blue/gssf dealer.

The Crazy Gun Dealer in Alvarado. I never been there but I love his radio ad. Go buy a Ar15 for 399

Big town gun show. Fondle away. Great prices and selection.

OP if it's not too late: Rays Hardware and Sporting Goods is good. RifleGear in Plano is good, but it's expensive. GT Distributors is also pretty good if you're LEO. Plus they have a bunch of police trade-ins there.

Not a store but I know a guy that knows a guy in Fort Worth that sells a fully nonmetallic Glock. Made of high performance polymers, composite fiberglass and ceramics. Gets through metal detectors. Bullets are still normal.
OPXur replied:
I usually go to Rays.

I would really recommend Ally Outfitters in Richardson. A++ customer service, especially with gun stores having the reputation of lacking in that department. They treat you like family, and to top it off, I believe they are having a sale right now on all their in-stock inventory. They have a lot of exotic/hard to find/higher end stuff as well as standard EDCs such as Glocks, CZs, Sigs, HKs, etc. When I picked up my EDC, a HK VP9, they had the lowest price for a hard to find tactical package with suppressor height tritium sights and threaded barrel when compared to online and other local retailers. To top it off, the owner Boeh, threw in an extra free mag for me as it was my birthday.
RifleGear Plano has decent customer service but I don't believe they are as competitive in pricing as others. If I need an AR part right away and don't mind paying a little extra to have it in my hands- I will come here.
Mister Guns in Plano has 50/50 customer service in my experience. They sell used guns at pretty good prices normally. They are really close so I like popping in to check out their used selection every now and then.
Targetmaser in Garland is a range and gun store. Very good customer service, probably second to Ally. Family run, very nice people. Prices are so-so. Used inventory here, and it's a range so you can "Try before you buy" as long as they have a rental of the gun you're looking for.

If you have any close friends that are military/retired or first responders, I’d see if they’d throw you one on blue label. You get two a year through glock. I picked up a g19 for 398.20 brand new. Then it would just be a face to face sale to you. Done it a few times with people I trust/trust me.

You should check out Modern Outfitters, recently picked up my Q Thunder Chicken from them via Silencer Shop. They used to just sell AR15 s but they have greatly expanded their selection.
