Where is a quick, trustworthy place to get an oil change?
Lee A. replied:
Any place except Kwik Kar or Jiffy Lube. Stay far away from either of those places . And every oil change place offers those "good deals" on oil changes and then will try to sell you a ton of additional stuff you probably don't need. For instance, they will offer you free tire rotation, and then tell you that your brakes are bad and need to be replaced. (They always say your brakes are bad, you need a new belt, hoses etc.etc.)....My recommendation is Walmart, since they don't offer any actual mechanic services and they have great prices.
Tom L. replied:
At least Sun Auto didn't try to sell me unnecessary engine air filter and cabin air filter, but a few days after the oil change my tire air pressure warning light illuminated. All four tires were 9 lbs. under inflated. Just saying, but quite a coincidence. No, I didn't ask them about it. Think it would have done any good?
Angela E. replied:
Had issues twice at the Jiffy Lube on Williams so I began going to Sun Auto. Been there for about 5 oil changes now and all experiences have been satisfactory except this last time this past Saturday, I specifically asked them NOT to rotate my tires but they did anyways. They must have not listened when I said not to, or just forgot, but I had them move the tires back and didn't get any bad attitude about it. Also, you can't beat a $17 oil change! (Check in on Yelp)
Dawn R. replied:
Not Sun Auto. We used a coupon for their free tire rotation with oil change. Well THEY broke the lug nuts and then charged us to replace them. Walked out paying about $200 total.
Bryan M. replied:
The Oil Exchange is the only place I go now. Good people there.
Joy H. replied:
Christian Brothers
Robert M. replied:
Oil Exchange.
Jerome M. replied:
They all kinda try to upsell u. Sun Auto in Gtown has the cheapest oil change without a coupon, and they're pretty good guys.
Recommendation's for the best place to get a synthetic oil change, that isn't Walmart, AND won't try to sell me on all this extra stuff by doing a "diagnostics checkup"...
Shawna W. replied:
Following.... Sun Auto NEVER rotates my tires like they're supposed to & they're always trying to upswell me. Wal-Mart...eh, no.
Stacy S. replied:
I cannot say enough good things about Christian Brothers!
Misty G. replied:
We used to go to Sun Auto, but then they had a big employee change and started recommending all these services that had to be done asap! We moved to Lamb's and have had no problems. Ocassionaly we get "this service should be done in the next 6 months or so" but no pressure or unnecessary services.
Lara B. replied:
I've been getting a synthetic oil change at Christian Brothers for 5 years. They have never tried to sell me anything other than showing me by disgusting filter every couple of years.
Andrea P. replied:
I go to Kwik Car on Williams also. Best price I've found and free car wash. Now, they ALWAYS try to upsell by showing me something (air filter, fuel injection recommendation, etc) but that is my experience every place I've ever gone. I just say "okay, thanks. I'll have to budget for that" and they go about the oil change.
John T. replied:
Jiffy Lube is across from Pit BBQ. By like people have said about Kwik Kar they upsell, but a simple not this time is all it takes b
i need a synthetic oil change.... can anyone recommend a reliable and affordable place with late hours
Jason M. replied:
Sun auto in front of home depot. They don't charge extra for over five quarts. Always great service.
Ginny S. replied:
I've always used Jiffy Lube on Williams for my synthetic oil changes.
Angela G. replied:
Kwik Kar on Williams.
Al H. replied:
Don't go to Jiffy Lube on Williams. They failed to refill my sons oil and blew the engine a block away. Yes they replaced it and reimbursed rental but it took 3 months to resolve it all
I am in need of a new place to take my car for an oil Change, Sun Auto Services has made me quite them after five years! If you know a place let me know. I also need...
