Hannah .. I couldn't agree more . And I know some above didn't like Dr Cohens office . I switched to them 7 years ago & never had a problem ... Until recently ~ he sold the practice to investors & they brought in their own dentist - the office is terrible now . The girl at the desk is nasty & it's just very cold. However, they have evening hours which has always been a plus .. I've been looking but I agree finding a good dentist is hard !!

KellyAnn, I went to Dr. Adelman at Cohen's office for a couple years when I first moved here, and he told me I needed 9 fillings and 2 root canals... after I had had no cavities for 10 years. I had all the work done except one of the root canals and then got fed up and left. I have been doing damage control ever since and have even had to replace 5 of the 9 fillings and/or get crowns on some of those teeth. I will probably end up with dentures by 50 because of what Dr. Adelman did to my mouth! Horrible experience. I wish I could back there because they are convenient, inexpensive, and very close to my house! Ah well. The search continues! Glad for this post - I am getting some ideas here!

Dr. Cohen drilled the wrong tooth in my husbands mouth so then proceeded to drill the one in need as well. When my husband was surprised and upset that two were done when he was expecting one dr Cohen said don't worry the insurance will cover it and took off. My husband demanded to speak with him and he hid out like the shady crook he is. We were going to sue but didn't persue it. My husband has a major fear of dentists now understandably.

My kids go to Dr. Angel and Dr. Jen at Chesheim Dental in Erdenheim - BEST children's dentist in the area. Expensive but very good. I second AVOID Dr. Cohen on Easton Road in Glenside!!

Dr. Heather Clark is hands down the best!!

I agree about Dr Angel but every single time we went my kids had cavities.. I mean every time .. Eventually I switched b/c I felt something wasn't right ... I years later met a woman that had worked for them & assured me they over called cavities & problems & I just can't help to imagine how many thousands of unnecessary dollars I spent over the years... I switched and for 2 years my kids didn't have a cavity which I thought was odd !

I don't recommend Dr. Clark either

oh dear, thanks for the heads-up KellyAnn. We have spent many thousands out-of-pocket over the last year at Chesheim Dental - maybe I am too trusting!! Finding good dentists is sooooo hard...

Don't go to Heather Clark!! She botched my husband's root canal 2 times! A year later my sister in law got a root canal, and was in tears every time she tried eating for weeks afterwards! I've gotten 3 root canals and that should never happen. I love Dr. Gregory Henry in Willow Grove. Never a wait, always fit you in for an emergency, and I've never had ANY pain, during or after the procedures.

We use Dr Jay Freedman on Easton, right across from Rite Aid. Love that office, he's great and the staff are lovely. They also have massage chairs for those who have a fear.

Alexandra Baker in Horsham...if you can travel a little further than Glenside. She and her staff are wonderful.

Dr. Carber on Old York road in Abington. Across from Abington Library. We love him!

Upper Dublin family dentistry. They're fantastic! They fixed a botched root canal on me.

Edelman & Stevenson on Twining Road next to Acme. Been there 2 years now. Husband switched to them. Mother goes to them. And now this year my kids go to them. They are both great. We see Dr. Stevenson and love him.

Heather Clark cares a great deal about getting it right the first time. I'd recommend her for sure

I like doctors who have DO education, they typically are better trained in handling and seeing people vs. patients... I searched the name of the doctor and I am not crazy about this news but it's not new to me with fees , just don't like the name membership and privileges. Did you try Dr. Paul Reuter in the Rockledge Shopping Center

We use Jenkintown Dental on Old York Rd. Flexible hours and wonderful staff.

I also recommend Yorktown Dental. I'm not sure about their hours, but they are super nice and easy to deal with.

Glenside Dental (215-886-0666) has at least some evenings.
