Hello All – just passing along a little clarity on the Town of Golden Summer Camps program. The summer camps have not be cancelled. Our hosting partner that we have worked with for the past three years is re-focusing energy on a different project. ToG Recreation Services is presently working on finding another partner to help deliver a summer camp program. There has been NO budget cuts and we are doing what we can to find a group that can help deliver this important summer service. Conversations are ongoing with existing camp providers mentioned in this post. As details are confirmed we will post details on the ToG Recreation Services page. Please come out to the summer rec information & registration night on April 9th from 5pm to 7pm at the Mt 7 Rec Plex and find out more about various summer camps and other activities.

Here is another option for this summer: Outdoor Camps: July 6-10, July 13-17, and July 20-24 can include rafting with Glacier Raft Company, a day at the Golden Eco Adventure Ranch, bear refuge tour at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Nature Study day, and fun outdoor exploration days. Art Camp: July 27-31 with Sarah Jane Osadetz Art & Design Age: 5 to 12 years old Level: Everybody is welcome. No knowledge of French is needed to participate. Cost: $200 for members of Canadian Parents for French or if registered during the month of April or at the Spring Recreation information and Registration Night on April 9 at the Rec Plex at 5 pm. Golden Child Daycare has daycare space available ages 0-12. We will be putting together some information on summer camps soon as well. It would be helpful if people sent me information on what their needs are over the summer. Ages of kids, time/days required and what you would like in terms of programming and cost.
