Randy is a world-renowned artist, bro. He's got a waiting list of usually at least a few months, but man... It's worth it. Way I see it, we live close enough to be tattooed by one of the greats, why not. Michael Bogle is one of my best friends, we grew up down the street from each other. He's not as good as Randy but his portraits are PHENOMENAL - he did a Janis Joplin portrait years back that just made my jaw drop. He did my first tattoo and him and Randy are probably the only people who will ever tattoo me.
Eric B. replied:
Jeremy Justice is another world-renowned artist at EyeCandy. He started there with Randy but left for a few years going all over the world doing his thing, but he's back now. He specializes in large pieces usually, though. Japanese style body suits and stuff.
Eric B. replied:
Probably. Jonny Rosenbloom. He's a badass photographer now! He did stuff of Jimmy Graham for Smoothie King and recently of Juvenile! Yes, JUVIE!
Eric B. replied:
But really you should go to EyeCandy New Orleans. You can't just walk in but I don't trust places where you can just walk in and get a tattoo. I'd rather wait for something that people will see and go "DAMN! That's fucking SICK!"

I really would have to say based off of everyone's portfolios i've seen from this thread, my personal favorite is Richard Hart. Everyone always notices flaws in their own tattoos, but I've gotten work done by him that is absolutely flawless

Definitely make an appointment with someone at EyeCandy. If you want a lot of color, go with Randy. He's famous for his color work. He does stuff with color that very few people can do (as you can probably tell from above), and his stuff LASTS. Michael does really fucking awesome black & grey stuff, and he's a little easier to get an appointment with than Randy. JMFJ is good for very large-scale pieces. But really you can't lose with any of them. Hell, I'd just see who is available first out of the 3 of them. I don't know much about the other guy Chris Black or whatever, but I assume he's great if he works there.
Anyone have any recommendations for a tattoo shop around here? I've been itching for a new tattoo, but I'm not from here and haven't been to anyone in this area.
