Eastside Animal Hospital Dr. Bramley on Stapley and Univ. Mesa
Can anyone recommend a good vet that is reasonable on prices here in town?
Jenny M. replied:
I don't know how prices compare, but Maricopa Animal Hospital has been very good to us. http://www.maricopaanimalhospital.com/
Dawn H. replied:
I cannot recommend MAH, either. But I do LOVE Dr. V at Maricopa Wells Animal Hospital. She is fabulous with dogs & cats.
Kimberly D. replied:
Feliway is a good suggestion. I like MAH a lot. Dr V is polarizing. I either hear "I love her" or "no way I will go back". Like every service provider, not every provider is for every client.
Shauna W. replied:
Maricopa Wells Animal Hospital clean, great service, they treat your animals good and they always remember who my dog is smile emoticon Reasonable prices too.
Jenny M. replied:
Wow, I wonder if they will neuter an older male? I don't know, is there an age limit? But he'll be healthier and less apt to have problems if they do. It won't necessarily stop spraying, though. Your vet will know for sure, and the MAH vet is wonderful.
Jamie C. replied:
Maricopa Wells, dr v is great. She is a huge cat lover and even the local rescues recommend her! We left MAH and I cannot recommend them.
Kimberly D. replied:
The low cost mobile clinic (MASH) comes to Maricopa 1 x/month and is very affordable and although they are not full service they can do a ton. Dr Neufeld is great. #480-656-4479. www.mashvet.net

Also check pricing at the Ar8 xona Animal Welfare League clinic and the AZ humane society 2 nd chance hospital. Dr. Kelley is a good choice for low cost care of the ones above
Summer S. replied:
Try Bethany Animal Hospital. They're pretty affordable. Also try AZ Pet Vet. They have multiple locations across the valley and offer payment plans so you can afford to take care of your pets:)

North Buckeye Animal Hospital... We really do love them there, we qualify for credit, but ideally, I'd just like to get the cost down on this procedure. If I cannot find another option I will do it for $700 next week but I am really trying to find something less expensive. We just paid off the Care Credit from our senior dog who passed away last november... I'd really hate to rack up that debt again.
Elli S. replied:
Dr. Kelly's mass removal price.
Cassidy S. replied:
Dr. Laura Harris. I went around and got quotes from many different vets for a knee surgery they were telling me 2,000 plus. She charged my $500 and my dog hasn't had knee problems since!
Terri F. replied:
you might try this option. This vet is a mobile vet. She is at different locations around and you can check her calendar to see when she would be by you. She does remove masses. This would be a more affordable alternative for you. Here is her page. https://www.facebook.com/DrKellysMobileVet/
Bonnie S. replied:
I used Dr. Kelly to remove a mass from one of my dogs. She was getting her teeth cleaned as well so they only charged me $100 because she was already going under anesthesia. I had had it biopsied at my vet beforehand so I did not need that service at the time. Since your pup needs spayed as well this may be a good option.

I had Brutus and diamond cremated but the vet took care of it with the transfer with All Pets that delivered them both back here but your right it's kind of pricey but you've gotten so many wonderful suggestions that I hope will help you with going through all of this. You and your baby are my prayers little one ... Hugs...

We have had to part with 2 dogs since we moved here. We went to the vet at Maricopa Wells Vet Clinic. It is hard to remember, but I believe it was somewhere between $50 - 100. We had them take care of the remains. It was very difficult to do, but i know it was time. Bear was so old, difficult getting around, couldn't see or hear, getting stuck in corners barking. Molly was sick with illness and bleeding we just couldn't afford to treat. My heart goes out to you.
Kimberly D. replied:
Depends on if u want ashes back but plan on abt $90 at either local vet. It is only abt $150 if u want ashes back. Pinal County Animal Care & Control is $40 I believe. I would highly recommend some bloodwork for him though. SO many things can that are super easy to treat can cause weight loss. Thyroid disease is very common in older kitties and can be treated w/ ear gel. Intestinal distress, UTI, diabetes. All easily detected with a simple blood draw. When our 19yr old kitty started dropping significant weight we took him in for a quality of life exam to find that it was indeed just his age and he was quite healthy for an old geezer but I was glad to know that I wasn't allowing him to suffer with an illness I could have easily and I expensively treated.
Kimberly D. replied:
MASH will be here on Friday. You can avoid the office fee & have them draw it. MashAppts@aol.com. #480-656-4479. All the blood work (including thyroid) and quality of life exam for our boy at MAH was less than $200. Also cost of maintenance meds is dependant on where u get it. I know my one client in Province paid $30 for a 90 day supply from PetMeds.

Need to take both my animals for shots and exams anyone recommend a good vet here in Maricopa?
Kimberly D. replied:
The vets at BOTH offices are quality IMHO. I have a preference for Maricopa Animal Hosp (#568-2224) only because some of the staff@the other vet office leave something to be desired. Just my opinion. MAH is a stand alone bldg on John Wayne Pkwy betwe en Penansco's restaurant & the shell jiffy lube. The low cost mobile clinic that comes to Maricopa monthly will be here on Friday 3/13. Let me know if u need more info abt them.
Kimberly D. replied:
MASH (Mobile Animal Surgical Hosp - Dr Neufeld) comes to Maricopa monthly. If u need spay/neuter/dental cleanings, appts must be made. www.mashvet.net

Both local vets are competitively priced. If you need low cost vaccines, spay/neuter or dental cleanings, I would use the MASH. They come to Maricopa monthly. 11/8 & 12/13 are the next two dates. www.mashvet.net
Both of our local vet are competitively priced for storefronts. MAH is slightly more affordable than MWVH. The low cost mobile clinic comes to Maricopa once/month. They will be here on Friday 1/2/15. They park at the Ak-Chin Fire Station on Farrell Rd. www.mashvet.net
