Have you considered family day care, not just centres? Family Day Care is an excellent environment for younger kids, maximum 4 children per carer so they really are looked after just like they would be at home, and you only pay for the hours you want to use (most carers have a minimum number of hours you must use) rather than pay for 12 hours you may not need.
