If he has paralysis I wouldn't recommend giving him anything by mouth, as they can aspirate. Keep him as calm as possible, no food and water. I highly recommend taking him to a vet, even to just talk about options and payment plans. Try some of the animal welfare groups. They may be able to help. Where are you? If close to Lismore you could go to Traditional Medicinals in Keen St. You can use topically but generally both ixodes, ledum and other homeopathics are used internally for ticks
