45 minutes away isn't very far. Takes me longer than that to get to Macon. Its a motel, but some Days Inn's allow pets, but you have to contact them directly to see which will. Don't trust the website to be accurate. There are some nice museums in Macon and also in Columbus, with the River Walk there as well. Pine Mountain is nice, with Warm Springs and the Little Whitehouse.

I have had delivered Soups, Stews, Chowders from Dale English Bates and I was very, very, very, very very, very, very IMPRESSED. The Seafood Chowder.........AWESOME.........she used real butter and cream, VERY LARGE SHRIMP, crabmeat, Ummmmmmm, and I fed two of us for $8 and it was the very best thing I ever ate. I am getting Vegetarian Lasagna next.
