Anyone know a hippie / artisan bakery in Gwangju? I'm looking for a good loaf of wholegrain bread to go w/ hearty winter soup.

Verviers is legit! And 궁장제과 (Gungjeon Bakery) downtown is delicious. Great recs Gwangju!

Henry, there was a little organic grocery I used to walk by (and bought snacks there a couple of times) on my way to Bong Seon Dong (sp?) walking from Gwangju University. It was a tiny hole in the wall place, but they may have something you're looking for, or if not, would at least be a good place to inquire about stuff you're looking for. I actually managed to pinpoint it exactly on Google Maps, but unfortunately the outdated computer/browser I'm using won't let me right click on the location to get the exact coordinates (I'm lucky I can even use Google Maps at all). Soon as I get the chance, I'll use another computer and get you those coordinates.
Kevin M. replied:
OK, now I'm on my brother's computer! According to google maps, it's 561-3 Bongseon 2(i)-dong (39 Jeseong-ro 80(palsip)beon-gil). If that helps. The coordinates would probably be more helpful: 35.121218,126.911705.
