Any recommendations for anyone who works on boiler / hot water radiator systems? I have a bleed valve that has some corrosion and I know most HVAC doesn't work on them....

We loved John Y Wright. They changed out our oil system for a crazy gas high efficiency tankless wonder.

Try John Rogers at phone big-john. He has worked on our hot water system.

Extreme Climates Fixed ours for years until we had ti replaced. They even were able to make parts for it when the parts were no longer made.

We use Tommy Kyle for the restaurant. Very fair and quick with service call. Not sure if that is in his element of detail. 810-0107
Anyone know someone that can repair/ replace heating/ AC ducts? My house was built in 1959 and I guess after 50+ years, the ducts need some work. I think it is probably...

I was always told the same about the size of the ducts by one business. They said that even if we did install a new ac/furnace package that the ac would not be much better than our old one (19 year old unit). They explained that the ducts worked well with heat but not with AC. So a year ago we decided to put window A/C's because we didn't want to replace the ducts. So early this summer we realized the heat portion of our ac/furnace package was broke and not worth repairing. So we got quotes from several companies including the ones mentioned above. We went with Lighthouse Mechanical (Trane unit). Lighthouse and Fox had the best deals. I ended up getting a better deal with Lighthouse because I simply asked "would you install this unit for this $$$?" And they said yes. The fox people, who have always been great, never brought me a written quote, even after calling them several times. So all along I didn't expect the new ac to work that well because of the old ducts. We didn't care because we had our awesome window ac's which we love. But, oh surprise, the ac works, it works as well as the one we had in our previous home (new construction). Maybe it works too well. We have it at 75 (any lower and we are freezing) and the whole house feels the same temp. And we even have those really old baseboard registers. Anyways, maybe you do need new ducts, I'm no expert, just thought I would share my story. I recommend both Fox and Lighthouse.
