Searching for a new primary care physician. The one I currently have has dropped the ball one too many times and I have no faith in him. I am looking for someone who...
Stephanie R. replied:
Debbie Baumann and Barb White at HRMG!!! Best!!!
Lori T. replied:
That recommendation I was joking about was my son, Justin Terrell, at Columbia Family Medical Group, Dionne!
Amelia J. replied:
Dr Pontius sees all of us. My parents, my brother and sister, Neil and I and our kids. I like having a family's Dr that knows all of us and knows family history. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Hevel and was very sad to see him go but Pontius has been a nice replacement. We've also dealt with Knorr a few times. When Hevel or then Pontius was gone and he was Dr on call when Thatch was admitted to hospital both times for his breathing issues. He was great with us.
Candice H. replied:
Dr Kimber at qmg and his nurses are amaZing. I will not go anywhere else
Brenda G. replied:
I didn't know Dr Ozment was a PCP too. He is Gary's Rheumatologist. We LOVE him! Listens to everything, however long it takes. He has served his country & been overseas for 2 terms. Not that it matters but throwing that in. He thinks a lot of Vets come home with Fibromyalgia but don't get diagnosed with it because the gov't doesn't want to pay for that much long term care. He fights for your rights to medicines & treatments. http://www.quincymedgroup.com/quincy/site/doctordetail.aspx?specialistID=72
Dionne L. replied:
Dr. Ozmet isnt normally a Pcp. And he doesn't accept patients who are just looking for a pcp. He's a great dr. I agree
Jill F. replied:
We see Dr. Bartlett at Hannibal Clinic. He is amazing.
Amelia J. replied:
My family all goes to Dr Pontius (who took Dr Hevel place in Palmyra) she's in same office as Knorr. She's very thorough. Sometimes a bit too thorough for this laid back lady. Lol! But I would recommend her or Knorr.
Lori T. replied:
My primary is Dr. Tweedy...Dr. Bartlett declined me. I think they are just really busy and it's hard to get in to care sometimes any more!! Dr. Tweedy is the most thorough I have ever encountered. He takes time to get to know you inside and out. I just say that to reassure you that he does indeed listen.
Holly H. replied:
Dr Adam Reyburn with QMG.
Mike B. replied:

Lisa M. replied:

Unfortunately the only reasonable asthma medication is Albuterol Oral inhalation for a nebulizer. It's 4.00 but you have to have a nebulizer. Unfortunately there are no generics.

Lori T. replied:
I have heard that a lot of training and effort has gone into the new program that Hannibal Clinic is initiating with Dr. Eric Meidl and Dr. Priscilla Long. Three level program that utilizes different methods to best aid patient care. So grateful you have options and way to go to you that you are pursuing greater health! I am sorry you had a less than stellar response to pursuing it with your primary care physician. I pray you find a much more compassionate healthcare provider in whatever program you choose! You are awesome!!

Dr Grieving.. The only Dr that's actually listened and found out what's wrong with me. There's allot! My last one couldn't find me answers.. Only gave me meds to cover whatever my symptoms were. I have lupus, R/A and fibro. Damage that could have been prevented years ago while my body attacked itself causing irreversible damage. Yeah.. he's done more on 5 months than anybody ever did.

Clarity, Preferred Family Healthcare, comprehensive are some other places. Advance Counseling, White Oak can help with the counseling/coaching side of it without pills. Most of those places have a sliding scale if you don't have insurance. I hope you can find something that helps ease your situation.
Samantha B. replied:
Hannibal clinic also has a behavior specialist & counselor. They are both great. Drs are taught to listen to the patient & not force them to do something they aren't comfortable with. All experiences I've had with Hannibal clinic have been great, nothing forced, they listen & truly care.
