I used Dr Markel for my first child but stopped going when the staff kinda dropped the ball with my sons health care. I took him in for 6 visits over the course if 2 months for a really, REALLY bad cough, each time I was told he was fine. I wasn't convinced and went on my own to a pediatric pulmonologist and found out my son had whopping cough. I then had to deal with the cdc and the town and my son wasn't allowed in school for a few weeks. I had even asked the Dr to test for whooping cough as there was an outbreak at the time but they insisted he was fine. My son now goes to Dr Chris at wellness pediatrics in Sparta and we love it there.

Welcome and congratulations! We use Dr. Markel in Hamburg. If youre in Hardyston/Hamburg it's the closest. He uses Morristown medical center if needed to be admitted. Which is the best hospital around for children, in my opinion. And even though I dislike rite aid the pharmacy is next store which can be great if your children are not feeling well and the rite aid in wantage has a drive through. His P.A. Renee and him are both kind and on point. They are quick to respond to calls after hours as well.:)
Moms - does anyone know of a pediatrician who gives the NASAL flu vaccine as opposed to the shot?
Cheryl W. replied:
I know Dr. Bronstein does not; she refers them to an allergist. We just moved from another state and it was common for the pediatricians to have them available upon request if you preferred that, not just if you are allergic to eggs, etc.
