Not sure of the distance from Chester but we went to Market Drayton last week an there is a new Farm Shop and Cafe just south of the A53 on the Shrewsbury road. Can't remember the name but it will be on the website.

A good route, mainly country roads down through Peckforton, head south passed The Yew Tree Pub straight on for about 4 miles and you hit the A534, left towards Nantwich but turn off to Acton beforehand. The rote back, we came through Whitchurch, Wrenbury and back in that way.
