Suggestions? I used to run barefoot style (ball of foot) in minimalist shoes. After a time I developed plantars faciaittis in one foot. I have had it since Sept. 2010...

That is an excellent question for the Google Group - http://groups.google.com/group/huaraches?hl=en. You can probably find previous threads that address the issue too. Your issue almost the opposite from what barefoot running promises, but others have experienced it for sure. I had issues with PF personally before and after I transitioned out of my motion control shoes. I think pure barefoot walking/running helps along with getting more flexible.

Here's a good article on plantar fasciosis treatment, from a podiatrist who believes in minimalist shoes: http://quoindesign.com/nwfootankle/FasciosisTreatment.pdf

Found this for you. Just had a minor case of PF from being on my feet alllll day long and it helped. http://runners-corner.com/injuries/plantar-fasciitis-treatment/

When you start running again let me know. I am the owner of the Born to Run store and I could do a free running clinic for you to be sure your running form is what it should be. It is still easy to have less than stellar form, even running barefoot or in minimalist shoes. Proper form can make all the difference for injuries such as PF. Also, we can help set you up in the right shoes. I would probably recommend the Altra Intuition to start out with. www.borntorun.com
