Trying to rent a car for a month and not pay a bloody fortune! G'day
Living in Sydney I usually use Goget when I need a car, for small trips, to get to meetings out...

this issue here is picking it up and dropping it off in a different city. any company will charge $$ as then they have to get the car back from that city. this is like asking for a unicore mate, good luck

Find a cheap car for sale, drive it for the month, then sell it.if you find a good deal, youll make your money back

If you have to drop it off in a different city, try to do airport to airport. It’s a thing with corporate vs franchise car rental places. I don’t know much about You Drive or VVV but Hertz and Avis etc usually drop the one way fees if it’s airport to airport. Disclaimer: dismiss this entire comment if you’re talking about regional cities and not capitals cos most regionals are also franchises.

Which other city do you want to drop to?

I did this once and got a Jucy rental. Sydney to Brissy in 2018. Can’t remember how much it cost though, I found it on Rentalcars.com

Dunno what defines a fortune but can you not just by a banger that’d see you right for a few hundred bucks to them bin it when all done? Mate of mine did exactly that, got himself an estate car to do loads of tip runs as he was renovating a house, so wasn’t a fussed about scuffing it up. After a month or two when the house was done, he sold the car for parts.

How expensive are you looking at? How would it compare to buying a cheap used car, using it for a month then selling it?
Anyone know of a cheap car rental or car relocation joint sydo to brissy trip soon

Transfercar.com.au. You don't pay for rental and sometimes they give you a tank of petrol. Your just relocating rental cars so they give you a time limit. Prob two days from Brisbane to Sydney.
