One popular place to grab a cup of coffee is the Cafe Regatta, along the bay and with unlimited refills (but the queue may be long)

I'm suprised this place is not on there, Café Sininen Huvila https://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=60.182467,24.936739&spn=0.001744,0.005584&t=h&z=18&vpsrc=6&iwloc=A&q=Caf%C3%A9+Sininen+Huvila&cid=2409629656178235346 It may not have the best coffe in the world, but it by far the best place to have coffee and enjoy an amazing view of Helsinki. It's an outside café so make sure you go on a nice day, but that said, even on a bad day this is still great. If it's cold, they do have blankets there so don't let that put you off.

In Helsinki, this there's a coffee shop called Gran Delicato. They have shops on Kalevankatu and Esplanadi. It's been awhile but when I was there the last time the staff (From some Mediterranean country I think) made slme tasty cappuccino and ciabattas. They also have imported coffeebeans and filter coffee in bags for sale. Maybe even cheeses and cured meats, IIRC.

For the atmosphere and location I like Cafe Bisketti in Oulu. Can't really say anything special about their coffee since I always just have the regular.

You might want to try Kofeiinikomppania in Oulu if you don't want to drink basic Finnish drip coffee (last time I visited they didn't even have any) and enjoy a slightly hippie-ish atmosphere. They can be found at [Pakkahuoneenkatu 5](http://goo.gl/maps/hxD9 k) (the street view is awful); locals should at least be able to where that address is even if they don't know about the coffeeshop.

Go to the tori in Oulu. You can get fantastic strawberries, sweetbread, and coffee there. Oulu is incredible.

Are we talking normal drip brew coffee or espresso?

In Helsinki, the best coffee place is on the upper floor of some place at the main drag...La Torrefazione! Stunning layout. Some of the best espresso of my life. The baristas are quite beautiful, too :3
