Would recommend "The W" in duquoin it's a little pricy but really good food and a very fancy environment. They do have a bar and the recommend making reservations! Have fun and be safe and congratulations!

Thank you Mary .I try to read the obituaries in the Halifax paper but I miss as many as see. I was on vacation trying to hay that week so no reading at all. Roger did tell me he had talked to some of her family at Reta Allen`s funeral last fall and Kathy was not well. Do you remember how old we were when Kathy with her family moved to Ontario? IDM

I remember robbing my piggybank(a knife thru the coin slot ) and treating Shelley MacKenzie(Benjamin) and Susan Allen to root beer floats ~we sat in the booths back there and giggled and laughed our faces off!!!llaughed till we cried!Susand ALlen lived on Queen street next to Norval Shelley Benjamin..I wonder where she got to? last I recall it was Ontario where there was the land of good fortune and a car manufacturing facility!!!Long closed I am sure.

If you’re looking for 4 to 5 star restaurant you can check Rare Chophouse in Mount Vernon, Tom’s Place In Desoto, maybe Mary’s in Herrin. I don’t understand how Walker’s Bluff is slow this season. Do they not have any holiday parties booked? I’m asking because I used to work there as well and I made bank.
