Definitely Greenside Cafe. My whole family is vegan and we live there when we are in Johannesburg. Their food is healthy and clean, tasty but not vegan junk food.

Dopio zero anywhere (greenside is lekka), there's also conscious108 and greenside cafe in greenside. Fresh earth in Emmarentia. Voodoo lily. Leafy Greens is epic in Muldersdrift. Elemental café on 1 st avenue Linden is new and awesome!!
Fruits & Roots! They have a vegetarian/vegan buffet. Plus an amazing menu. I've been to all the vegan places people have mentioned above (except Elemental) and Fruits & Roots and The Pudding Shop are by far the best!

Without a doubt you have to go to Leafy Greens - we take carnivours there to so them how delicious Vegan food really is - beautiful setting in the country and 100% Vegan. They have at their own veggi garden, a shop that sells Vegan condiments and books. - and oh so chilled!Dukes, Greenside have phenomenal Vegan/Vegetarian burgers but they are basically a carnivore establishment (if that matters to you. I found Conscious 108 below average. http://www.leafygreens.co.za/
