I use OpenSprinkler controllers in a couple locations to run my greenhouses and field locations. They are Rapberry Pi based but come in ready to run. There is a DC version available which I have not used. You need to have it connected to a network of some type. It is possible to connect remotely but I've not set that up. https://opensprinkler.com/
