I fear I'm with Lucy Hawthorne, for rentals they don't exist. Not 'good' ones anyway. In Hobart if you can find a private landlord through The Mercury classifieds or Gumtree you'll be much better off but the short supply means people often don't have that option. If forced to deal with an estate agent the Tenants' Union of Tasmania is your greatest ally. Actually as a renter they are anyway.:)
