Dr. Schmidt gave my 7 year old heart medicine for his adhd. I quickly took him off because he could have a heart attack at such a young age.
Vicki H. replied:
American Medical has a walk in clinic and you can register online. They will text you when your visit is approaching so you don't have to wait in the waiting room.

I've had all three off my kids here at the hospital. My first born was far from a stellar experience. But my second two were amazing. I've seen Dr. Sherif first with my second child. Had issues with him miss diagnosing her. Then for my third he was amazing at the hospital with him. Same goes for all of them at American Medical. So the moral of this story is they are all human....but very inconsistent. I now take all my kids to Dr. Murillo in Lovington. She is excellent in my opinion. Best of luck.
Normita A. replied:
Dr Delong at American Medical. I've been to every pediatrician here because I couldn't find one that i liked, but Delong is the only one I trust.
Jared L. replied:
Dr. Schmidt is awesome! Dr.sherif is awful! He will never touch my kids again ever!

Lance DeLong at American Medical.. He's Awesome..

We use Premiere Family Physicians' clinic on Illinois St. I don't think they have a pediatrician, but we've always been happy with them, and they usually don't have much of a wait.
Miranda B. replied:
Becca, American Medical group in Hobbs is open until 6 pm and does mostly walk in clinic. They have lots of staff, lab, X-ray, everything in the same building. Marty Schmidt is a pediatrician there. With the time difference I could always get there after school got out and still get to the pharmacy.
Anybody know of a good pediatrician here in Hobbs? I've been to the Children's Clinic and American Medical but just wasn't happy with the last few visits.
Has anyone that has breastfed their baby been told by their pediatrician that they need to give the baby a vitamin d supplement for infants? If so what would be a good...
