Try HR before going legal, it can often be resolved informally before having to take more drastic steps... I recommend ACAS or Eden HR Consulting
Sianne J. replied:
I second Adam and Eve at Eden HR Consulting. Very compassionate and informative. I know them and have been at talks they have given and they are very experienced.
Adam C. replied:
We're HR consultants; a lot cheaper than solicitors for an early stage. They only real need for solicitors is if it comes to tribunal. your house hold insurance may cover this. Talk to us first 01403 734455.
Sharon D. replied:
Check the small print on your house insurance and see if you are covered on that first, we are for work related legal advice. Also phone ACAS (0844 875 0087), they are brilliant and will offer lots of free advice. Good luck.

Adam C. replied:
For future reference ACAS is a great source of information. HR consultants can help prior to tribunal as there is a set of internal processes to follow; I use employment law solicitors regularly and can recommend Nighat Sahi from PDT in Horsham, Mark Gough of the fair law project, the folks a pure employment in Chichester and also Greg Burgess at ASB law. I've got first hand experience of all these lawyers and can recommend them. I'm more than happy to give 10 minutes for free on the phone. Thanks for all the recommendations guys

It's the financial side that turns an amicable divorce into an all out war where everyone loses in the end so despite being entitled to more I agreed 50/50 & shared custody so it didnt turn into an ugly war & a big chunk going to lawyers & court fees. He hasn't kept to the child support order but what does fighting achieve other than stress & heartache for the kids...& a lot of expense to both in legal fees. It's on 'his' conscience! I started again with my kids with very little money but now have a lovely home, mortgage, new partner, baby & all happier than ever. It's in a solicitors best interest to tell you both to fight for more, I worked out that with all the costs & my ex fighting back is have ended up with less in the end for fighting it, both of us would have & the rising costs would have kept us fighting for more not to mention the stress ect.. Always good to get advice, I can highly recommend Alessandro Mancini so your friend knows what they're entitled to but depends on how far the ex is willing to fight...amicable agreement is always best so maybe with legal advice on entitlement put forward the ex may agree to that amicably.
I am totally and utterly at the end of my tether, its been 1 month and i have another 9 months of this bloody knightmare... Can anyone please recommend a decent...
