Please can someone recommend a good practical vet for my dog in the local area. She has a tick head left in her muzzle that is giving her some jip. I am pretty sure it...

The Veterinary Surgery in Stanford in the Vale - small practice, nice, good vet, very reasonable charges.

We went to Hungerford Vetshttp://www.hungerfordvets.co.uk/index.php with our cat. A different animal I know but they were very caring, especially as it was a first appointment with them and we ended up having the cat put to sleep. They have also been great for phone advice about our chickens (with no charge obviously!)

Another vote for Hungerford Vets - superb modern state of the art veterinary practice and full hospital - lovely friendly expert staff - nothing too much trouble - easy to get spots and nurse on site 24 hours too!

For future reference, these are the best way to remove ticks in one piece - not a good idea to leave them attached for any length of time. And another vote for Hungerford vets. http://www.otom.com/
