Hi, since you ask, (and I'm in the bathtub, and have a moment), I will share. My husband has been a general contractor since 1989. He has lived in HB his whole life, and graduated from Edison in 1978. He is a very honest man. He does all types of building/remodels, and does very fine work. He doesn't advertise, all word of mouth, and repeate clients. His name is Steve Litz- Litz Construction Inc. His wood shop in on Hamilton/Newland. Behind the animal rescue shelter. Don't tell him I posted on face book. He's so old school, he will think it's like walking around with a sandwich board. Check referances, insurance coverage, liability. Good luck!

Ed Newville and the boys built a pond with a waterfall at couch house back in the day and he used it as his thesis project. Go to Lowe's and get a do-it-yourself book. It's not hard. I watched landscapers put one in at my mom's house back in 04 and I think I coulda done a better job. Those guys were total f-tards. Do it yourself Bob. You can do it!

We use Ganahl Lumber in Los Alamitos for moldings wood and such. You might try calling them with more specifics on your application. It's super easy to get there - it's on Los Alamitos/Seal Beach Blvd, near Katella.
