Biotone is very expensive and the owners treat their employes terribly. I used to go there. Pink Petals is such a cute salon and 3 of the girls from Biotone have left and are now at Pink Petals.. Beach and Garfield... Check it out.. Best pedis in town...

Breathe Salon and Spa! Sara is amaze balls! 714-968-8811. I've only used 2 manicurists ever and that's because I'm concerned of sterile tools and manicure details. I've never had a pedicure like hers. My feet feel like baby skin and my gel manicure lasts twice as long as all my friends do from other salons. Not to mention her attention to detail! Every single person I've recommended to her has been flabbergasted at how much better she is than their own manicurist!

AP nails in Long Beach, I even make the drive from HB to LB. Owners are husband and wife, they are absolutely lovely. They even didn't charge me once and gave me nails for free. They are amazing!!!! Parking is a little crappy but if you go early in the day you should find one. Ask for Kevin or Annie !! I trust them with my nails and I have super short nails that hurt from biting so much and they are so gentle with me, I'm amazed every time!! And my nails can last for a few months

I get great mani-pedis from Emily at Allure Nail Salon on Bolsa Chica and Heil, right down from Jon’s Coffee Shop. It’s very clean and autoclaved instruments are unwrapped in front of you. She does really good leg and foot massages.

Go to Daze Spa. It's on Heil and Bushard. I am the pickiest person in the world and never had a nail chip or peel when Kelly started doing them for me. Has to be Kelly tho. Don't accept anyone else and I promise you'll be happy. They have tons of gel colors to choose from too.

The nail place next to Boston Market on Goldenwest and Warner. They do everything there. I only see Tracy. I've been seeing her for over ten years. They never lift and no problems with anything.

It's on beach right next to Divine Foot Spa, which, if you haven't been, has really cheap massages. I had a lovely day between those two places.

Holly Wedding, Pink Petals is a fairly new nail shop, I think they opened in December 2014. It has a modern feel that is more like a spa with a soothing decor, very clean and most importantly...the employees seem genuinely happy to be working there. It's fairly quiet for being a nail salon, employees don't have their phones out and are not talking to each other about what they did over the weekend. You have your choice of 8 sugar scrubs - beautiful colors, scents and quality products. There is a housekeeper on staff who takes care of disinfecting all of the instruments, warming the towels, working as a team with the employees. The "nail bar" is like an actual bar with a giant screen tv where you can sit next to your friends. The customer service, cleanliness, very reasonable prices, quality of work and the best part --- they don't try to over sell any extra "add ons" they let you know what is available but don't push it on you. I think the only way to improve this place would be to serve alcohol. I jokingly suggested it and they said if you want to bring a bottle of wine, they won't have a problem with it. They also do private parties - showers, etc...
