We moved here with our 13 year old in July. Our daughter is starting at Morna next week. It seems a lovely school. It is tricky to find somewhere affordable, especially for 12 months or longer , but it is possible. Look on idealists.com. Good luck. We love it here and suspect we will be here much longer than 1 year.

Antonia Sturges is a great teacher can't tag her but she is on face book
Katherine A. replied:
Great decision! Susanne Jegge is a wonderful language teacher for adults and kids. You'll connect with her professionally too as she is a qualified Transactional Anaylsis Coach - helping people transition through major changes. I have found learning a language really challenging, with major blocks about my capabilities as well as capacity to study/learn/evolve while raising a young family. I had similar feelings about being hopeless with learning Spanish so Susanne has helped me identify these...Through her, you're likely to discover that you are not 'appalling' at Spanish - you just need the right building blocks to put it all together and de-code it, which Susanne is great at doing with teaching tools she has developed over 20 years. I recently engaged her as a coach to help me with a professional dilemma - so I feel in a good position to recommend her on both counts! Finding a house is easier to do when you are here. October is an excellent time because more places are available and landlords may decide to rent longer term when they meet you. December is very quiet with far less activity. Be careful not to be lured into cheap winter rent in the hope something may crop up next May... you're much better off to find something in the Autumn/Winter months long term rather than face hiked prices and a competative market in Spring/Summer... PM me if you'd like any help planning your move?
