Have you tried free advice by phoning The Leasehold Advisory Service? They will define terms of your lease and what that means in real terms etc. I used them and they're good. Worth a go as its free! If not, James Khapour at Taylor Watkins is a specialist leasehold solicitor. Good luck!

Hello, I'm a conveyancing lawyer, trained at MAB in Watford and now a consultant for Setfords! I live in Hemel Hempstead so happy to arrange a local meeting! If you let me know more I can tell you who/what you might need before expending and money on costs! Www.lease-advice.org.uk is an excellent reference tool and very user friendly! (Thank you for tagging me Karen Tonge!)
