Christ hospital does free monthly skin checks with a program called Melanoma Know More through out the tri-state. My dr. Recommended it if you just want a skin check and can't schedule so far in advance. I plan on going in Nov. http://melanomaknowmore.com/prevention/
Looking for a good dermatologist for my son any recommendations? The doctor I like Dr. Molly Eisner's schedule is booked until Feb of 2015.
Angie S. replied:
I don't recommend clay shearer. I do recommend dr Stephanie Snyder 341-9588. I also hear the others are really good I there too. Becca and I go to her.
Linda H. replied:
Toby Mathias is really good. 513 922 1200. I was going to shearer for a year with no diagnosis. First time I saw Mathias, he had the answer.

I took Kendall to The Dermatology center on Mt.zion road. She saw the nurse practicioner and it was fine. Very crowded there too but they got her an appt within a week.
Michele F. replied:
Dr Hoppenjans on Thomas More is great with kids and adults too!
Susan B. replied:
I see Dr. Snyder too. I would recommend calling the office every early-mid morning and late afternoon checking on cancellations. Dermatologists in this area are in short supply. They like to schedule annual appts for people, but then when the appt comes around, people have either forgotten or are unable to/don't need to go in & cancel at the last minute. Good luck!
Janice G. replied:
Michelle, You DON'T want to go to Dr. Shear on Mt. Zion. Believe me!!!
Lisa M. replied:
My grandfather is STILL working...Smith Gibson in Covington.
Can anyone recommend a dermatologist in the NKY area... :)
Erin K. replied:
Dr. Zalla in Florence got the job done:)
Darlene H. replied:
Dr. Zala. Takes forever to get an appointment.
Darlene H. replied:
See your regular Dr. My mom had a spot on her face. Our Dr got her seen within days. Dr Zalla removed a sqamous cell cancer from her cheek and there is NO scar from a 3 inch cut. He was amazing. This is the young Dr Zalla. His father also practices I think.
Trisha B. replied:
See the nurse practitioner and you can get in quicker. Dr. Shearer checked me before she took anything, but they'll take more than what you want them to look at, lol.
Looking for a dermatologist that can get Catherine in before December! Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Melissa R. replied:
I just went to Kristin Kennedy. She's a nurse practitioner at dr. Shearers office on mt. Zion. They have 2 NPs there, usually quicker to get into than the dr.
Dr Zalla,,,,,,he is next to the Florence water park,,,,there are two Dr.Zallas one is father and on is the son,,,I see the dad,,,,,it takes forever to get appointment,,,,that is the only bad thing
