Personal Life Coach - The Book of Proverbs! This book contains the most powerful and proven instruction on how to live a godly life, it provides wisdom for living, and specific teachings on folly (continuing to sin without regard to it’s consequences), goodness, wealth, poverty, the tongue, pride, humility, justice, vengeance, strife, gluttony, love, laziness, friends, the family, life and death. Acquiring wisdom and knowledge is extremely beneficial and very important when you are trying to sort out issues and make vital decisions in life. The Bible says in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” In asking God for wisdom you must listen first and then take His counsel from the scriptures, the scriptures will give you the wisdom you need when you lack it, and God will sometimes use other people to participate with you in the process. “Balance is what God teaches us —the balance between [scripture] verses that say it is a wise person who seeks the counsel of many others and verses that warn if we listen to too many people we will go astray. Somewhere in between is the balance. God wants us to be open, listen to people with the same value systems, but not follow their direction for our lives too closely; rather, use it cautiously —as counsel in finding God’s direction.” (Dr. Larry Burkett, from the book: The Word on Finances)
