There is a dance shoe shop in Cambridge, but they focus on formal dances like Ballet. The most popular Lindy Hop shoe is the casual 'Canvas Lace Up Pump'. The premium brands are Converse and Vans. There is a Vans shop in the Grand Arcade but you can find them cheaper in the huge shops (like John Lewis, Debenhams and Sports Direct) and specialist fashion shoe shops (like Schuh and Office). For a more formal (wedding) Lindy Hop shoe, 'leather brogues' are fashionable for both genders. Look in the same list of shops, plus Jones and Clarks. Any shoe that is comfortable and flexible with a flat low-grip sole is good. Just wander around town and find something you like!

There is simply dance shoes in Bedford sell more like character shoes, or try swing gear on the internet. Aris Allen make pumps, but bleyer make some lovely (but expensive) ladies' shoes.
