Need recommendations: a real-estate lawyer, a home inspector and a small bank. Thank you for any recommendations.

Just closed on a house a few days ago. Used [John Albanese at Coughlin and Gehrhart](http://www.cglawoffices.com/), [Rick Rosoff](http://www.rickrosoffhomeinspection.com/) and [CFCU](https://www.mycfcu.com/) (beware the 'no closing costs' mortgage. It's a good deal but there are other costs at closing). Edit: Also, would recommend [Melissa Shames of NY Homequest for a realtor.](http://www.NYHomequest.com)

Home Inspector- Larry Sharpsteen at [Perspective Services](http://www.perspectiveservices.com/) Can't recommend him enough, and he'd probably be able to recommend the others too.

VERY thorough, our inspection went so long that the sellers got nervous and called the realtor wondering what was up. House had very few problems (Radon mitigation was the only pre-sale fix), but it took ~5 hours. He went through every detail, looked in every nook and cranny, explained the construction of the house, how to fix some minor stuff, etc.
Besides clearing the house as OK to buy, I learned a ton about homes and how to care for them. I was very impressed. He is also a contractor and I've decided that when I need work done, I'm at least going to talk to him.
His rates were not the cheapest, but man, it was worth it for the attention that he paid and the knowledge he shared.

Avoid campbell and davies for you home inspection. They won't find anything wrong no matter what problems there actually are. Speaking from experience.

CFCU by far is the best local bank. I work for a competitor and wouldn't take my accounts anywhere else.
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has argued Florida needs uniform marriage laws. Because the original lawsuit named only one county clerk, questions remain about...

God approves of non-sexual same-sex relationships, such as Jonathan and David, Ruth and Naomi, and Jesus and John. His disapproval comes into play when same-sex relationships become sexual. In fact, God condemns homosexual behavior in any context. God’ s definition of marriage — a lifelong, exclusive commitment between one man and one woman — excludes and invalidates “gay marriage.” If the omniscient God of the Bible had intended for modern, loving, committed, faithful and long-term same-sex relationships to qualify for marriage, then He would not have excluded them by definition. Can anyone recommend a good real estate attorney for a house closing in the Ithaca or Lansing areas?
PigSlam replied:
I worked with John Albanese when I bought and sold my house on south hill. He had his own firm at the time, but it seems that now he's joined another, but still operates from Ithaca. https://www.cglawoffices.com/Attorneys/Jonathan-O-Albanese.shtml Anyway, he and his firm treated me well in 2006 and 2012 when i worked with him, and when I had some unrelated legal issues in 2007, an attorney from the group met with me for an hour at no charge.
