I'd suggest working with the new one before having a farrier trim him. He can go a little longer without. A bad farrier experience is not a good idea. Also, if he goes to Starke, I recommend Joe Bennett as well. He's shod reiners for me as well as sorting and penning horses and horses with bad feet and he always does an amazing job.

Hey Afton. I use Joe Bennett but not sure if he goes to Brooker. However, I sold a horse to a lady in Starke and the farrier/friend came to get it. Dean Graham and his wife, Megan, come to Jacksonville. Dean is wonderful with the young ones and their riders and Megan is great at putting on those finishing touches. Great resources in one pair! There are several of us that ride with both. They come roughly every 2 weeks or so.
