Moving Companies Can anyone recommend any moving companies for moving within Hoboken? I currently live on 9th and washington and I’m moving downtown in May. I can’t...

I've been quoted by a ton of movers recently for a May 1 st move, going from Bayonne to Hamilton Park JC. Let me give you some context, I am going from a 3 rd Fl walkup no elevator. (This was an issue for a lot of them) to a 1 st FL apartment with 4 steps. Literally 4 stairs. I requested them to move a king bed, box spring, bed frame, medium dresser, a full size sofa and an elliptical. I was going to move the other stuff myself, so they quoted me around 900-1500 between 8 different moving companies.

I used morrissey’s for a short move within Hoboken. They were great and cheap for ~3 hours of work. I was only on the second floor of a walk up so not sure how top floor will impact price, but definitely recommend them.

Tommy’s, I’ve used them twice now.

I used GoShare to move from hoboken to JC 2 years ago, and plan on using them soon when moving to a new apartment in JC, its way cheaper than any moving company, although there was an elevator in both buildings, you can set how many floors and with/without elevator in the app.

Not to burst your bubble but moving a few blocks doesn’t equal cheap. It depends more on flights of stairs and how much actual stuff you have. We’ve moved a few times in town and Tommy’s was the cheapest quote by far but it’s not flat rate. Also, shoot ray roman a text. He’s a local firefighter (I think in JC). I think he will probably beat any quote you get. I haven’t used him personally, but many of my friends and neighbors have +1 (201) 218-5947
