Any place (hotel, B&B, etc) in Israel with forest (not to sleep in a tent, but to walk around) to recommend for a romantic getaway weekend in January? Thanks!
Is there a hotel/ bed and breakfast in Tzfat other than Ascent that serves food on Shabbat?
Shayna L. replied:
Habayit Btzfat is run by Ascent but it is a hotel, not a hostel. We have been very happy there

We have a tzimmer and live next door and sometimes have our tzimmer guests for Sahbbat. But then again we have Ascent guests for Shabbat almost every week. What were you looking for? A group meal or make your own meals or catered meals or being guests or being in a hotel? www.safedsugarsuite.com

My favorite is Casa Nova Tiberias, which is right on the lake front at low cost. (There is even a kitchen where you can make your own meals.) It is run by the Franciscans, is very clean and neat, simple but comfortable and very convenient. The central bus station is two blocks away. You don't have to be Catholic to stay there, but the intent is to provide a quiet spiritual retreat for people of all faiths. http://www.saintpeterstiberias.org/english_neweb/accoglienza.html
