DR Niazi is a a speacialist trauma orthopaedic ( fixes fractutes after accidentd and injuries) and sports injury surgeon. He does arthroscopic surgery of shoulder, elbow and knee. Dr de Wilde from Wilgeheuwel treated me for ghout - medicine from other docters did not work so i ended in hospital on a drip, but while i was there i shared the room with 3 guys that had knee surgery from him, and all of them sounded satisfied, but I only report what i have heard the 2 days i was there. He works hard, see patients from 6 am, do his rounds from 8 am and then start surgery's after that and sometimes work until 10 pm http://www.drdewilde.co.za/sample-page/

The doctors at Rosebank Sports Clinic. They do knees for athletes.. and athletes want alot out of their knees. I had mine done with dr Spike at the Stellenbosch Sports Clinic. He does alot of work on SA rugby players. I couldn't ask for a better job. So I'd say go with the sports clinic in Rosebank. And book your consultation soon.. they are very busy. Also a good sign!

Sharing my comment from ILP as others may also benefit:) Dr Weinberg and Dr Hahnle work together at Linksfield. They have a Neuro-Orthopaedic Spinal Clinic. They are incredible! I speak from experience (having explored many others prior). They developed the Kineflex lumbar and cervical disc prostheses (which I now have and which has given me back my life!). First and foremost was finger x rayed and confirmed to be broken? Is it a straight fracture needing only splint or fracture dislocation in which case will be more complicated and needs correct treatment . Public Hospital Casualty may be way to go if you can’t afford?
