Anyone know of a caprine vet in the area? Or one who deals with livestock in general? Thanks in advance!

You might want to give Mirona Petrus a call. I've heard she is good from someone who owns several large animals. Mirona Petrus DVM/Large Animal Ambulatory Vet, Joshua Tree, 714-458-3881

Dr. Petris sounds like the winner!:)
Helen W. replied:
I don't think Companion Vet clinic is making house calls anymore but I could be wrong.
Gina C. replied:
Companion no longer does livestock, sadly. Loved him. Still take my dogs there though. Dr Petris is good and your best bet.
Teri M. replied:
Gina Carter and Helen is correct, Norm at Companion no longer does the large animals or Ranch calls, only the small animals . Not sure where he stands on pigs. I still use Companion for my dogs and cats, but will probably have to meet Dr Petrus for my horses now.
Helen W. replied:
Dr Petris is wonderful. You will like her. Easy to work with and even does xrays, etc in the field. I highly recommend her.
Becky L. replied:
Teri Dowell McCormick had Dr. Petrus out last week for first time to meet my group and check the baby out for a few things! She did great, and we will be using her now! I just did not like going down to low desert to Indio area for equine vets! Miss Norm, but Dr. P is very likable, knowledgable, and does ranch visits!!!!
Fiona M. replied:
Dr Reedy at Carter animal hospital in cat city also does horses. both she and dr petris are awesome
Janie B. replied:
I think Dr Petrus was kind enough to come out to Landers to put my 92 year old friends dog to sleep. She was very nice and caring.
Helen W. replied:
Dr. Perris and Dane Furlong my ferrier fid my pigs hooves recently.
