Given the relatively warm Juneau winters I prefer a studless snow and and ice tire....Love Blizzaks and Michelen X Ice. Costco have both I think. You can get away with a good all season tire but you will have to be a more alert proactive driver.

I'll never buy tires at "Less" Schwab again. The tires wore out prior to the warranty and they came up with an excuse why it was my fault and didn't honor the warranty.

Bridgestone Blizzaks or Michelin Defenders would work just fine, made it through a winter with blizzaks on a neon, defenders on an RX7, they worked just as well as studded tires. Whatever you do, don't go to Les Schwab.

Mike's Airport Express changed our tires once, and we had no complaints. Total was $80-something. I think I heard that Costco charges somewhere around $40 though? If you have membership, I'd try there first.
