Hi Barry, Phil Ransome's phone # 250-320-3871. How time flies, this was over 3 years ago!! Phil Ransome, Barrister & Solicitor, 4269 Dunsmuir Road, Barriere. He had an office in mini-mall above Napa parts on the highway. Don't know if he is still in business, but worth a call, closer than Kamloops..

You can also check the Society of Notaries Public web site http://www.notaries.bc.ca/findNotary/searchForm.rails to see who is closest. Generally lawyers will act for both sides if circumstances make it really difficult for each party to have separate representation, notaries can too, but both are encouraged to have separate representation especially if mortgages are involved or more complex situations arise.

There is a lawyer in Barriere. (at least he was couple years ago) I think his name is Philip Ransome, not exactly sure but when I get home later will check it out, & let you know.

There are no notaries in Clearwater or Barriere. Barriere has Phil as Hazel mentioned and we have Jim as mentioned earlier, but otherwise the Lawyers and Notaries closest are all in Kamloops.

Canadian laws differ from U.S. laws Jay Jay.. take a look at the following link http://www.judiciary.state.nj.us/prose/10557_expunge_kit.pdf The things that lawyers do, most people can do themselves pro se, which means self represented. Anyone capable with a sound mind, and without any sort of learning deficiency should be able to represent themselves successfully. Should you require to appear in front of a judge in relation to the above, remember to dress nicely, and tell the judge exactly what you advised in the forum.
