Does anybody know of a good tailor in the Kansas City area? Particularly in the Lenexa/Johnson County area?

I discovered this place in 2007 while searching for the exact same thing: Elizabeth's Alterations 218 1/2 N Kansas Avenue, Olathe, KS A small little store that's tucked away but she does GREAT work at a very reasonable price. Her prices are low and since she's a mom/pop store, I usually tip her what I would expect to pay elsewhere.

I could use some advice too - got a leather jacket that I really love that needs a new zipper.

I like to shop Michael’s, this awesome shop that's been around forever. Yea, it's a little pricey but you'll walk out feeling like a Million bucks. Primarily a suit shop but they also do alterations, located downtown though... http://www.360 kc.com/ClothingApparel/MensClothing/MichaelsFineClothesforMen.html

My mom owns a tailor shop in Prairie Village (83 rd and Mission). Tell her Steve sent you and you'll be sure to get a discount. Also she works magic on clothes. She turns my baggy-ass nasty jeans into form-fitting, fashionable jeans.

Also, this is on sale in both 3 x and 4 x. http://www.womanwithin.com/clothing/Solid-2 pc-swimdress-by-Swim-365.aspx?PfId=210010&DeptId=22354&ProductTypeId=1&prefine=Size,1&ppos=10&Splt=0#.VDoI9 kpX-uY

I second Daveta - it can be done, but not easily and the fabric itself can be expensive. Getting a nice fit can be tough. Often the suits simply look "home made" Swim Outlet is another option suits in all sizes and prices.
