Looking for an electrician The entire circuit breaker panel in my house needs to be replaced. I am being told that this job is ~$1100 but the guy might do it for...

A panel swap is 800 before I see any reason for it to cost more, or be a pain in the ass. You have a decent price quoted. Remember that includes the price of the material, transportation of everything to your home, and being around for, and guarantee of, inspection. There are many ways to save money on home repairs, but skimping on the electrical is probably the worst way.

I've used Urbano Electric and Nassau Electric. Solid companies. The $1100 price seems highish, but depending on whether the electrician isn't a flake, might be worth it depending on your specific house.

Arden Electric in West Berlin. Called them out on a code violation on a house I was buying. Rather than charge me to do the work, he said it was such a simple job he basically walked me through how to correct it myself, gave me a parts list to take to Home Depot and left. He said he'd do the work if I really wanted him to, but it would have been like 150-175 bucks, vs doing it myself for about 10 bucks in hardware. Definitely earned future business from me that day. http://ardenelectric.com/
Anyone is or know of an electrician who is willing to trade?
Im a dog groomer and really need some lights fixed in my salon.
