I have twins that will need to start daycare in January. Looking for some reliable ones in the area preferably one's not in someone else's home, and one's that are not...

How old are your twins? We used Connecticut Farms Church Day Care for my daughter. Not expensive compared to all the others and qualified people running and teaching with plenty of aides. Full day or half day. I think they start at 3 yrs old.

There is also a new day care on Morris Avenue just past Commerce Ave (near CVS) close to Red Cadillac. Sorry I cannot think of the name.

If you go with a daycare place make sure they have cameras in which you can see your kids during the day like Rainbow Academy in Cranford

Lol what ??^^ My son goes to Imagination Learning Center. It's pretty close to kean. The website is http://imaginenationlearningcenter.com/ When I was visiting schools, Gardens of Wonders was my top choice. It was really nice. Imagination learning center price matched though, so I went with them bc I got the same rate as a daycare down the street from me that wasn't so great.

Alexa Alexandra Dougherty as a registered pediatric nurse I understand that times become difficult when your children get sick... However, in a daycare environment there is absolutely no way to prevent it from occurring face it kids, infants love to share and I'm not talking about toys... They love to share germs it's just the nature of the beast... In regards to your experience with the teachers, I have never had a problem with anyone in that facility... As a matter of fact they have been great the past three yeArs we have had our children their from the director down to the teachers.... It's unfortunate that your experience was not as pleasant as ours.

Go see the Faria's at Featherbed Lane in Clark, They run a really great program...excellently run, staffed, my kids went for years and years..http://www.featherbedlane.org/

I have a friend Jackie McTernan who watches children in her home, right by Livingston school. Inbox me if you want her number. She is wonderful and you only have to pay her when they go. Nicole Ahern uses her, she is head of counseling at UHS.

Daycare in general exposes the kids to illnesses.. My son went to a very clean awesome bright horizons n got sick all the time but at age 4 His immunity is so much stronger and he's rarely sick!! The Learning Experience is the daycare on Morris by the CVS.. My son goes there for preschool and he's learning a lot.. From Spanish, writing, etc.... Their infant program is ok they seperate the 0-6 month from the 6 mos up ( the infants that are more active) which is great Bc Ive never heard of the infants getting sick all at once there..I haven't personally had an infant there but I can recommend the pre-school program! The price is reasonable and comparable to others ! I toured Garden of Wonders which is reasonable and seemed like a good program with lots of recommendations from parents but they have a long wait list for infant and preschool.. YMCA@5 points is a great program and has perks ..kids can participate in classes throughout the day including swim etc! The price is reasonable and comparable to others in the area...would definitely recommend checking them out.. KinderCare kenilworth we looked at 1 year ago...overall Expensive and chaotic! Comparing it to the bright horizons I used it was more money, menus were not great, etc.. Wouldn't recommend based on a tour I did 1 year ago ..
